Hillary Clinton on Education Reform
If you searched Hillary Clinton on Education Reform and ended up on this blog site and are reading this, stop; bookmark this page and get a note pad or open a blank writing document to take notes. Oh, and put on your seat belt.
I am writing this under the assumption that you arrived here having at least a basic knowledge of the Common Core Standards, No Child Left Behind, Education Reform, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and how your school or school system operates.
If you are reading this and you believe that the Common Core Standards were the brainchild of President Obama or that they were designed to correct what was wrong with the previous State Education Assessments then think again. If you believe that Hillary Clinton is new to politics and would have a fresh new prospective on how best to reform education in America, think again.
Before I go any further, let me make two things very clear to you.
(1). Nothing on this blog site aims to bash a person; and
(2). Every U.S. President and/or World Leader is in place to reach a common goal – move the world and all of its government under a single rule. A study of the United Nations and what their mission have been since 1919 would be a good start for any person new to politics and advocacy. What I have learned over the years is that we may slow down the inevitable, but we cannot stop it. And while we cannot stop the fact that one day soon we all will be governed by one government, there is nothing documented that says we have to enter into this new arrangement ignorant.
I believe it is my assignment to share with you my opinion on ‘What the ‘F’ Happened’ regarding Hillary Clinton on Education Reform. And nothing you will read here is different than what you will read somewhere else on the Internet or archived is a basement. Well, with the exception of what I have concluded to be the end result. You see as a Project Manager by profession, when managing a project, before a drop of ink goes on a contract, I start with what the customer wants the finished product to look like. If I can’t get them there on time, like they want, and within budget, I won’t take the assignment until we agree. I use those same skills when I research the issues I address on this blog site. Why is it important? Does this issue affect us all? And what will it look like twenty or thirty years from now? These are the questions I ask when considering a category or topic for this blog site. And if you are intrigued over how I present the information I provide on this blog site, wait until you read the soon to be released eBook.
I’ve got a little reading assignment for you. Below are three web sites I want you to visit, read, and study. When you come back here what I will connect the dots and help make sense of Hillary Clinton on Education Reform. Are you ready

Welcome back!
On September 27, 1989, President Bush and the Nation’s Governors met in Charlottesville, Virginia for a bipartisan “Education Summit.” Based upon the intense discussions and deliberations during this Education Summit, all in attendance agreed that America’s Education System should be focused on accomplishing six national education goals; where were: that by the year 2000:
(1) all children will start school ready to learn;
(2) that 90 per cent of high school students will graduate;
(3) that students will be competent in basic subjects and exhibit responsible citizenship;
(4) that U.S. students will lead the world in mathematics and science;
(5) that every American adult will be literate; and
(6) that schools will be drug-free and safe.
President Bush (#41) named his education plan for America, America 2000; a.k.a America’s Choice!
America 2000 and its 6 National Education Goals had support by both Democrats and Republicans. The programs were finishing up on the pilot programs in some 15 states and several school districts throughout America. In 1991, I was working for a global telecom company that allowed me to participate in seminars and workshops that identified the work related personal and interpersonal skills a person with the desire to work for us would have to possess to be hired by our firm. It was an exciting time.
The firm I worked for contributed heavily to Republican campaigns and was a huge supporter of the Reagan/Bush Administration. It wasn’t long before I found myself being on temporary assignment (relieved from my normal duties) to travel from coast to coast to head up campaign sponsorships. Trust me, I was involved and I was excited about the promises America 2000 offered public education – especially for disadvantage and blighted communities.
Imagine my dismay when political issues affecting America 2000 caused things to go bad and go bad quickly.
What if you were President George H. W. Bush (#41) and a few months before you launched a political campaign for re-election, you were told that the education plan that you and the previous president, President Ronald Reagan had spent millions on researching, marketing, budgeting, piloting, and preparing to roll-out to all of America, would cause Americans to lose freedoms, liberties, and civil rights and the person challenging you on the same education plan, represented a different political party and his name was William Jefferson Clinton; what would you do? Think about that carefully. Despite what you learned, would being re-elected be more important to you? Or, would stay the course and continue promoting your education plan despite the adverse impacts?
In November of 1991, while Congress was trying to approve the federal budget for fiscal year 1992, President George Herbert Walker Bush, vetoed segments of his Administration’s budget. Three of the vetoes were so controversial I believe they became the reason that William Jefferson Clinton (Bill Clinton) became the 42nd President of the United States.
President George H. W. Bush vetoed budget for civil rights and abortion. More critical than those two was the fact that he vetoed his own education budget . Yes, he canceled federal appropriations for that would have funded the total revamping of public education and reauthorized Title 1 known by many as the America 2000 – an Education Strategy “
A news reporter named Adam Clymer wrote an article that was published by the New York Times on November 20, 1991, entitled ‘PRESIDENT VETOES BILL ON ABORTION; OVERRIDE BID FAILS’. The news report quoted Representative Richard A. Gephardt, Democrat of Missouri and the House Majority Leader, as saying: “Mr. Bush’s veto shut down the education budget of our country.” Representative David R. Obey, Democrat of Wisconsin, said the bill was aimed at “meeting the health and education and job training needs of the American people.”
I did not understand the adverse impact to civil liberties or the freedoms that would be loss had America 2000 been implemented nation wide. The public was not told why the President vetoed funding for these issues. My firm pulled me back from the political sponsorship team and put me back at corporate where along with my Sr. Management responsibility to oversee the maintenance and support of some 100,000 telecom ports, I supported a team that designed and implemented a new “Inside Sales and Marketing Team.” Being a newlywed, having a daughter graduating from high school in 1992 and a son that was not doing well in school, I was too busy to stay as involved in politics as I had while on temporary assignment.
I remember this charismatic dude that was the Governor of Arkansas named Bill Clinton was running for U.S. President and it appeared to me that his only message was that President Bush did not want to fund education for the poor. He accused President Bush of refusing to provide civil rights job protection for minorities, and although I did not support abortion, Bill Clinton laid it on thick when he added the fact that President Bush rescinded his budget support for a woman’s right to choose.
Bill Clinton was gave such a passionate party nominee acceptance speech at the 1991 Democratic National Convention it was hard not to believe in his goals for America. The months that followed his nominee acceptance speech, Bill Clinton beat down President Bush so much so hard that by the time he played that saxophone in 1992 with those cool shades on the Arsenio Hall Show…it was a wrap. On Tuesday, November 3, 1992, William Jefferson Clinton became the 42nd President of the United States. I voted for him.
What happened next? One week and a day later on Wednesday, November 11, 1992, Hillary Clinton received a letter from Marc Tucker, the President of the National Center for Education and the Economy (NCEE) .

In this letter, Marc Tucker tells Hillary Clinton (the soon to be new First Lady), immediately after her husband won the 1992 Presidential Election that he met with David Rockefeller and the key leading supporters of America’s Choice (a.k.a. America 2000) from the Reagan/Bush years, and all agreed to assist Bill Clinton by helping him roll out the education plan. (This is the education plan that Bill Clinton promoted during the height of the presidential campaign after President Bush vetoed education funding. NOTE: Bill Clinton was familiar with America 2000 because not only was he one of the Governors in attendance at the 1989 Education Summit held in Charlottesville, VA.; that year he was the Chairman of the National Governor’s Association) Marc Tucker’s letter made it clear what had to be done to create a National Education Strategy that states would voluntarily accept that would become national with common goals and common standards. Marc Tucker called the new education plan the ‘cradle to grave’ education and workforce skills development international initiative. Marc Tucker made it clear, that Hillary and Bill would have to adopt this plan quickly and make it their plan for education reform in America before the inauguration because he would need to select cabinet members that would endorse, support, market, and legislate his education plan. Fast Forward: Bill Clinton not only adopted the national education reform initiatives most knew as America 2000 (America’s Choice), which carried 6 National Goals; but, he added two more goals and renamed ‘his’ plan for education reform in America, Goals 2000 – Education America! CLICK HERE to read and study the 8 National Goals of Bill Clinton’s Goals 2000. Bill Clinton’s 8 National Goals were:
“By the Year 2000 –
1. All children in America will start school ready to learn.
2. The high school graduation rate will increase to at least 90 percent.
3. All students will leave grades 4, 8, and 12 having demonstrated competency over challenging subject matter including English, mathematics, science, foreign languages, civics and government, economics, the arts, history, and geography, and every school in America will ensure that all students learn to use their minds well, so they may be prepared for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment in our nation’s modern economy.
4. United States students will be first in the world in mathematics and science achievement.
5. Every adult American will be literate and will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in a global economy and exercise the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
6. Every school in the United States will be free of drugs, violence, and the unauthorized presence of firearms and alcohol and will offer a disciplined environment conducive to learning.
7. The nation’s teaching force will have access to programs for the continued improvement of their professional skills and the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to instruct and prepare all American students for the next century.
8. Every school will promote partnerships that will increase parental involvement and participation in promoting the social, emotional, and academic growth of children.”
The two education goals that were added to Bill Clinton’s education plan were goals number 7 and number 8. Teachers had to be taught and trained on how to implement these new standards and parents needed to be trained, involved, and supportive of the national education plan that Bill Clinton was preparing to deliver into America’s education system.
Besides receiving the letter from Marc Tucker and handing the letter over to her husband President Elect Bill Clinton, the role played by Hillary Clinton on education reform was that as a paid consultant for her friend Ira Magaziner. Who is Ira Magaziner? Ira Magaziner earned respect as one of America’s most successful corporate strategists, building two successful corporate strategy consulting firms and directing policy analysis for major corporations. From 1990-1992, Ira Magaziner’s firm SJS Inc. earned revenue from corporate strategy work and invested it in pro bono public policy projects related to education, health care and social services. Bill Clinton appointed Ira Magaziner to be Senior Advisor to the President for Policy Development. Since August 1995, Ira Magaziner has chaired a joint National Economic Council/National Security Council initiative to increase U.S. exports. Recently, he completed a document outlining the U.S. government strategy for promoting the development of global electronics commerce on the Internet. As part of the 1996 National Export Strategy, Ira Magaziner and his team announced a joint program to be administered by EXIM and SBA to improve access to financing for small businesses engaged in export activities. Before chairing the export project, Ira Magaziner managed the development of the President’s health care reform initiative. CLICK HERE to learn more about Ira Magaziner.
“It is unlikely that this country will do what must be done about workers’ skills unless there is a strong demand from business and industry for people with those skills.” Who made this statement? Hillary Rodman Clinton made this statement as she was paid by Ira Magaziner in 1992 to help her husband campaign and promote a national education strategy. The name of the speech that Hillary Clinton traveled from coast to coast to give during the campaign was: “Will America Choose High Skills or Low Wages?” NOTE: The speech was written by Ira Magaziner and Hillary Rodman Clinton. Ira Magaziner was then the President of SJS Inc., a business strategy and public policy consulting firm. 56 Pine St., Providence. RI 02903. Hillary Rodham Clinton was then the Co-chair for Implementation of the Commission and partner at the Rose Law Firm. 120 E. 4th St., Little Rock. AR 72201. The speech was Copyrighted © in 1992 by the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
In my opinion, if Hillary Clinton becomes the 45th President of the United States, you can bet that she will take Obama’s Race to the Top education plan and the Common Core Standards and modify them to correct them where they fail to link schools to businesses, colleges, universities, and state education/workforce agencies into an international labor organization.
I am not doing this much research to tell you who to vote for. Whoever is elected will be charged with meeting the goal. The question is the features and mandates on how they get there. I am here to educate and inform you on the issues. I am not saying that the issues are right or wrong. I want you to understand the issues better so as to make better decisions. Fact: The issues are not going away. Fact: The One World Rule will be met. The question is how will this affect you and me? What about our children and their children. Are you getting my point?
Now lets talk about the 8 National Goals!
